I took this picture when it was pouring out one day. I love to dance and thought it would be cool to dance in the rain. It was really fun taking these pictures and I got soaked! I like how it turned out a lot because it seems natural.

I used this photo for my final also. I really loved this shot from the beginning, I did not do much editing at all just layed a color balance layer on it to emphasize the warm colors on the girls' skin. the sun was just setting over the field and proved to be perfect timing!

This diptych is to tell a story of this man. I wanted it to represent summer coming to an end... even though it has not started yet. The sunset and the roughness of the water helps in portraying this.

This is a photo of my wonderful girlfriend. We have been dating for about a year and a half and she has
become a huge part of my life. For this photo again I adjusted contrast I also changed the color of the rose
and her eye.

I usually don't do this, but I made this photo black and white to make the contrast in the eyes very prominent. I also adjusted the contrast levels to give aid to that.

Purple Haze, Jimi Hendrix

Purple haze all in my brain Lately things just don't seem the same Actin' funny, but I don't know why 'Scuse me while I kiss the sky Purple haze all around Don't know if I'm comin' up or down Am I happy or in misery? Whatever it is that girl put a spell on me Purple haze all in my eyes Don't know if it's day or night You got me blowin', blowin' my mind Is it tomorrow, or just the end of time?

This is my other portrait photo that I also took at the abandoned house. I like this photo because of the truck and how simple it looks. The outfit that I am wearing goes well with the photo because it looks like a simple outfit for farm life. I think the lighting in the photo turned out really good because there is not a cloud in the sky and it was a beautiful day out.

This photo is representational of the song "The Shade of Poison Trees". To recreate this song in a picture, I used a tripod took a picture of myself under a tree in my yard. I cropped the photo so the tree and I were the only focal points. I then blurred the background and played with the color balance. I also darkened the edges and played with the curves a little to reach the final product.
Look at Jessica's blog to see more (as well as the lyrics).

Josh Ritter – Change of Time

I had a dream last night
I dreamt that I was swimming
And the stars up above
Directionless and drifting
Somewhere in the dark
Were the sirens and the thunder
And around me as I swam
The drifters who'd gone under

"God bless the broken road that lead me straight to you." This photo represents the song Bless the Broken Road by Rascall Flatts. I think this picture represents it well because it shows that no matter torn the "road" is, or the path of life is, you will always find the right person for you in the end.
