This is my first attractive picture I took using self timer. At first, I couldn’t figure out another idea for an attractive picture and so I was taking some sweet pictures for fun and then I realized that I really liked this picture and personally looked like it could work for attractive, then I pumped up the colors using color balance and then I used the filter the background to make my picture pop and it turned out really sweet.

I played around with the curves, changing the RBG and contrast. I also got a picture from online and used it as a texture.
This photograph shows confidence
The focal point is the girl towards the left. I followed the rule of thirds, she is not right in the center. The impact is her expressing her confidence, by her being happy in the sun. The sun is shinning bright emphasizing the mood.
I could have made the background be more interesting. I also could have tried to incorporate her into another picture, making more layers. The focal point is the girl towards the left. The focal point is the girl looking up at the sun. I see the hope in this picture where the girl is looking up at the bright sun. Although parts of this picture are very dark, I think the mood is shown well in the shining sun and rays coming down.
Using photoshop I placed the girl in the corner, and I changed alot of the colors in this montage. I mostly used contrasting and color replacement which is what gave the sun so much light compared to the tree and leaves. I added a texture in the back and changed the hue of the composition to a green/yellow.

...without further delay, WE'RE BACK. The school year has officially began and Abby starts off our photoblog for the year.
Here is her interpertation of mockery.
The focal point of my photograph is the girl sitting in the center. The mood of it is sad/pitiful and feel the hurt of the girl in the white who is being ridiculed by the masked people. For this photo i took several different pictures and layered them together. i also changed the curves and added a gradient and color/contrast. And it being a self portrait i used a tri-pod. I could have made it better by making the edges of the people better and blending them.

I used this photo for my final also. I really loved this shot from the beginning, I did not do much editing at all just layed a color balance layer on it to emphasize the warm colors on the girls' skin. the sun was just setting over the field and proved to be perfect timing!

Purple Haze, Jimi Hendrix
Purple haze all in my brain Lately things just don't seem the same Actin' funny, but I don't know why 'Scuse me while I kiss the sky Purple haze all around Don't know if I'm comin' up or down Am I happy or in misery? Whatever it is that girl put a spell on me Purple haze all in my eyes Don't know if it's day or night You got me blowin', blowin' my mind Is it tomorrow, or just the end of time?

This is my other portrait photo that I also took at the abandoned house. I like this photo because of the truck and how simple it looks. The outfit that I am wearing goes well with the photo because it looks like a simple outfit for farm life. I think the lighting in the photo turned out really good because there is not a cloud in the sky and it was a beautiful day out.

This photo is representational of the song "The Shade of Poison Trees". To recreate this song in a picture, I used a tripod took a picture of myself under a tree in my yard. I cropped the photo so the tree and I were the only focal points. I then blurred the background and played with the color balance. I also darkened the edges and played with the curves a little to reach the final product.

"God bless the broken road that lead me straight to you." This photo represents the song Bless the Broken Road by Rascall Flatts. I think this picture represents it well because it shows that no matter torn the "road" is, or the path of life is, you will always find the right person for you in the end.

For our portrait assignment I took a picture of my cute grandpa. I had him make a funny face so it would be more unique and more interesting to look at. I think I did a really good job with this photo, I absolutely love it. I wanted to make his wrinkles stand out so I found a tutorialto help me. I created a gitty effect by playing with the curves and messing around with the adjustments. I love how this turned out, this is exactly what I wanted. I like how theres a big amount of contrast and how his eyes standout and match his shirt. Overall, I think this picture turned out really good and I love it. :)

To take the silhouettes, I turned the exposure down on my camera so that most of the detail was lost in the model. I took pictures of her posing and jumping but this one is definitly a combination of them both. She was either about to jump or just coming back down. The arch in her back and the poof in her skirt make her look like a ballerina. I worked on this photo a lot in photoshop because, originally, the picture was tilted with the horizon line running between the corners. I tilted the whole picture until the horizon line was straight, and then cropped a rectangle into it. The corners where then white so I used the Clone Stamp to bring the images out to the edges. I then applied a Gaussian Blur Overlay with an Opacity around 20%.

"Nature Walk"
This is the image I used for green. My subject wore a green skirt & had green painted toes to enhance the green effect. I decided to place the subject in the grass to portray a calming effect. As if you're taking a nature walk through the woods. I enhanced the shadow, contrast and saturation of the image. There was originally an ipod in this piece, but it took away from the focal point to I clone stamped it out.

I love the lighting in this picture. I used neon glow to enhance the glow of the sun. Its repulsive because its taken in an abandoned building and everything is destroyed. There is broken glass everywhere and garbage. The roof is leaking and the windows are broken out causing water to collect and puddle in the building. I think it is repulsive that people build buildings and use them for a short time then leave them abandoned. Its a waste of material and money.

...::yellow::... I took this picture of my sister Victoria to represent the meaning of yellow. Yellow stands for happiness, joy, and intellectual energy. I have her wearing a black shirt also to stand for sadness. She is holding a yellow rose symbolizing a lost friend, she is looking at it in awe because she is remembering all of the happy memories but yet is sad because her lost loved one is no longer there.

Yellow: Yellow may not be the most apparent color, but I feel the meaning of yellow is directly expressed. Chelsea, my great little model, shows energy, happiness, freedom, all things that I feel the color yellow represents.
Green: I like this picture because the green takes up most of the picture and makes Chelsea stand out. I think Green represents youth, newness, growth, and curiosity and I think this picture captures most of those.

This first photo of my friend Emily I consider repulsive. Although the girl is beautiful, her face is covered in heavy makeup, hiding her natural beauty. Also her "dumb blonde" look she has on her face makes her seem stupid. While stupidity might not be what is repulsive, the fact that she has a dumb look on her face makes it seem like she is acting dumb which is repulsive. In this photo I clone stamped out some redness on Emily's face and whitened her teeth. I than color burned her lips and eyes to make her makeup look more heavy. I than put an luminosity layer over with a slight blur to soften up the whole photo.

I took this photo of an egg yolk being held over grass. Personally, I think eggs are the most disgusting things in the world, whether they're cooked or not. So in my photo, I toned down some of the colors, like the grass and hand, but left the yolk as yellow as possible. I burned all of the creases in the hands, as well as the outside of them, to define them, more. I burned the egg yolk a little bit too, because it made it contrast more. I used two light sources for this photo: a shop light and the sun. I am pretty pleased with the way this photo turned out, as a whole.

In my photo class we had to take photos of things that are normally repulsive and really gross and then make them attractive. I found this spiderweb on my car and took a picture of it. I view spiderwebs as really gross things. You usually see spiderwebs in dusty rooms or places that have not been cleaned in awhile. I am also very afraid of spiders and think they are also repulsive, so that's why I used this picture. I then used photoshop to make the photo look even more attractive. I used Gaussian Blur to make the web pop even more, and I also messed around with the saturation of the photo. I then used the clone stamp to make the car more of a solid color, and used the blur tool to get rid of some of the distracting rain drops on the car.

This picture represents attractive. I was actually outside taking pictures and I saw a deer like across my road and was lucky to get a quick photo before the deer ran away. I like how I framed the deer between the fence and the branches. I played with the colors a little and blured the background around the deer to make the deer stand out better.

This is my drip photo. I used a photo filter on this (colorcross) on a program on my computer. I got the orange in there by using marker ink in the bag of water, and the raindbow in the dip of the water was caught from the light. Overall I like the effect I achiecved with this photo, and I'm happy with how it turned out.

In this Picture I used the filter 'gaussian blur' and changed the blending mode from 'normal' to 'overlay'. I thought this was a good picture to apply this filter to because there is a lot of green and different shades of dark and light so it helps the subject to stand out nicely.
